The main premise of the card game is to be handed cards totaling up to twenty one. Every competitor is given 2 cards. When a blackjack player is dealt a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace cards it is referred to as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to every player at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is given the opportunity to make 1 of six choices:

Taking another card (Hit): When a player announces "hit" the dealer will give them another card, if the adding of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the gambler will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the value of the hand to twenty one the blackjack player is the winner and if the value of the hand has not yet achieved twenty-one they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they will stand. Once this has happened the croupier will disclose their hand and the blackjack player who has gotten 21 or the closet to twenty one will come away with a win.

Doubling Down: A blackjack player may ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have placed. Once you have taken this procedure you can only be given 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are normally specified by the table or casino game rules so prior to gambling be sure you are at ease with the house rules. If you’re betting at a net betting house this is normally very easy.
