I have wagered on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have enjoyed online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of bankroll at twenty-one. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that 21 seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely fun at times. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a few years back with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a number of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You need to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see betting this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Bet $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager

Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original ten dollar bet

Bet $10
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial $20 bet

Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar

Bet 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80

Wager $80
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first $80 bet

Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial 1 hundred and sixty dollar wager

If you departed at this instance you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!

It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
